While most will continue to argue over apples and oranges..."

For your purposes, I certainly wouldn't recommend the iPhone. The statement, "Someone who uses all the features of the N95 couldn’t live with an iphone" is far too broad though. I am certianly not your average mobile user and I would doubt that there's a capability that the N95 has that I haven't utilized. At the same time, I very much enjoy the iPhone in many respects. At this point, I wouldn't want to lose either handset...

Re: A Week Without S60, N95 vs iPhone - Part 1

Confused as to why you would choose to compare the iphone and the N95. They are two totally different phones that cater to two totally different sort of mobile phone users. It's like comparing apples and potatoes? As an example I am a fairly typical smartphone power user. I need to record video of cable runs to send to my engineers, take photos in low light levels, get about central London with a GPS system, install third party apps and download large files quickly to my phone. One of your phones is perfect for me and one is utterly useless. Someone who uses all the features of the N95 couldn't live with an iphone and someone who wants the features of an iphone doesn't need an N95.

Re: A Week Without S60, N95 vs iPhone - Part 1

Hey Zach! A great post. Though I haven't had the luxury of picking up an iPhone yet, I can well imagine what you mean with the Mercedes S-Class analogy. Nokia really needs to sort out their build-quality woes on a priority basis. As it is, I've grown sick of the chrome peeling issues on the N73!

Secondly, I'd really like it if you could add something as exquisite and revolutionary as the HTC Touch to the fray. I remember you did an excellent job comparing Active Standby with the Today Screen. Some real life shots would be a nice addition too. Keep up the good work!

Re: A Week Without S60, N95 vs iPhone - Part 1

iMo is way too cool! ;-)
The iPhone must have really left an intact for you to even jokingly consider the name!

Re: A Week Without S60, N95 vs iPhone - Part 1

I see no reason y u wanna make compare wif n95 to iphone
....
APPLE IPHONE is a rele crappy phone n N95 is much more GOOOOOD than IFooL !

Re: A Week Without S60, N95 vs iPhone - Part 1

Very nicely written as always, Zach.
