Sounds great! I'll be downloading this soon.

Oh wow!!!! Just downloaded it and tried it out! Genius!!!!!! With this, Handy Calendar and Handy Calculator all in the same month, I think I am falling in love with S60 all over again!! :)

    (BTW who made this program?)
  • zach · 2 years ago
@Jez Let me know how you like it!

@veb :) This is actually an OEM Nokia app.

    Great app !

Any way to sync the notes with a PC?

    Tom

As nice as that would be, I don't think there is. I haven't synced in a while but there are no date attributes to entries and no interface with the calendar so I don't think the functionality is there...

Hi everyone, I have Nokia N80 with newest firmware and Active Notes does not work on my phone!!! I mean, it starts and I can create a note but I cant openit again (the program crashes)
  • zach · 2 years ago
Hmm have you tried removing it and reinstalling? Make sure that you install it to your device memory and not a MMC.

Hi! Notes created through Active notes are reqular html-files and they are located inside Active notes -folder on phone memory / memory card (which ever you use). You can transfer notes to PC via Filemanager on PC Suite - just remember to copy also the folders, which contain all the stough inserted to the note like images (each note that has stough has a folder). On PC, notes can be viewed in web browser - cool :)

That's a very good point mirsikaria, thanks for your comment! If you want to get your notes onto your PC this is the way to do it, although there isn't any supported sync functionality.

Is there a way to change the destination folder of activesnotes ?
It will be more convenient to choose where activesnotes store files. A good place will be the synchronization folder of pcsuite. Don’t you think so?
  • zach · 1 year ago
That would be great pj - but unfortunately there's no option I've seen to change the directory. We're limited to copy/pasting for the time being. :(

I very much like the IDEA of Active notes but have a problem when sending notes to others. When the recipient opens the note that I have sent on their pc they are faced with a zip file which contains two folders, one with the pics in and the other with the notes and links to the pics. The problem is that the links do not open the pics. What I would like is if the note would look exactly like it does when I create the note in the first place. Am I doing something wrong here or does the app just not do what I need it to do?
  • zach · 1 year ago
I'll have to give it a try and report back as I've never sent any of the notes that I've created. Sounds pretty annoying though!!
  • doonit · 1 year ago
I found the problem and it's not Active Notes!!!

I have a 2gig mem card in my E61 and it's not entirely compatible. If I stick my old 64meg card in then all works out fine. My 2gig tends to lose stuff now and then...
  • zach · 1 year ago
Very odd doonit but I'm glad you sorted it. I never knew that the E61 had issues with a 2GB card. Have you tried a different brand card?

I've been using Active Notes an my N95-1 for months
now and really like the app, but have never been able
to use the feature "Link note to call". It just doesn't
do it. Nothing happens when I make a call to someone
with the note linked. I have the app installed on the
internal memory and I was wondering if anyone has seen
this or actually has this feature working. Thanks.

  • Zach · 1 year ago
Unfortunately there is no sync option right now.

    Doesn´t work on S60 3rd FP2 Phones.

Anyone here that know the author of that Prog ?
    It is not Nokia.
