f you're having probelms you should contact fring. Since this app is a beta they welcome all bug reports so that they can investigate and improve future versions.

That's correct alyson - you do need to have the app running with fring logged in to Skype in order to receive calls.

So, what your saying here is that I can come home, connect my phone to my wifi, connect fring to skype and whatever and my dad in the uk can call my skype user from his pc and my phone will ring and it will all be for free. and I won't have to turn my pc on??

any idea if I can get my SkypeIn calls?

fring will also connect to MSN? so if someone sends me an msn messenger message I'll get it on my phone?

that sounds great! maybe I should buy that N80IE then...

I've been using fling on my E61 for a week, making calls via WLAN. None of my callers can tell the difference between a Cingular/AT&T call and a fring/SkypeOut call. I find the display of stored phone numbers more convenient than Nokia's multi-level-menu-driven approach. If only Wi-fi were freely available in the US....

Ok, can you *recieve* a Skype call? I mean the Skype contacts on your list can see you online and call you?

You may want to contact fring to ask them that question. I doubt that any other current versions on their site would work due to the different screen resolution of your phone (208x208).

Yes, fring is intended for WLAN and 3G and I can confirm that it works extremely well over WLAN (I couldn't test 3G due to phone incompatibility with US 3G networks). And yes, that means free VoIP calls to any Skype/GoogleTalk/fring users (and low cost to other destinations with SkypeOut)!

If we use WLAN, then it means that we can call for free to others isn't it. Please someone confirm it.
