I was at a new restaurant and I wanted to store it. Brought up the address and saved it to my contacts. It worked quite well for me - all of the data was in the proper fields and I just renamed the entry and I was done. :)

It would be nice to be able to add an address to an existing contact but unfortunately it's not supported in this version.

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

To be honest Tuomas I still haven't gotten around to testing that feature yet. I'll definitely try to check it out today though and report back here.

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

@mike & zach: How did you get the "locations to contacts"-feature to work correctly? When I try to save an address it saves it as a NEW contact where the street name is the company's "name" under details. Isn't it possible to add the address to an existing contact directly? If not, then this feature is pretty useless...

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

Very odd - I'm not sure what version you had previously. As long as it's working now. :)

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

aha, I just re-installed using the nokia browser in stead of opera and the icon is back now. I immediately noticed the download page explicitely mentioned a 'symbian OS 9.1 download'. I wonder what version I was using then?

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

Odd - I have a (bigger) compass. Right by where Route 80 intersects route 287. Very cool :) I've already downloaded it to my E61 and using with external BT.

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

Yeah it really is great! I think I had a GPS lock in less than five seconds when I tested it!

And thanks for mentioning the contact feature - I hadn't yet found that in the short time I played. Awesome feature :)

Re: Google Maps Updated - Native S60, Supports Internal GPS

this app is awesome. loads fast, the search is better, and you can save locations to your contacts.
