This is a great commenting system. I didn't register yet, but if I like it, I will. Just testing it out to see how it works. Looks like you've been using it for at least a year, so it must be working well for you.

The disqus is a very powerful tool for both the blog readers which makes it easy to read & write comments on the blog. Also it makes it easy for the blog owners to manage comments particularly blog which are highly popular.

I like discus but it doesn't allow anonymous users to get an email notification when their comment is responded to.

Ahhh - on your Disqus Settings page, check out "Change Settings" next to Email notifications. I have everything checked.

lol - on indeed! Best part - if you reply to the notification in your email, your response will automatically be added to the post!
