Thanks for your comment and sorry if I was unclear. SHAPE Services charges a one-time fee for unlimited service. Their competitor (who I would rather not refer specifically to) charges the same fee but for only one year's subscription. I'll edit the post and try to make that more clear, thanks.

A great writeup, as always. However, the pricing is good, but what if I switch phones frequently? Do they allow that or is the software tied to a specific IMEI? The unnamed competitor apparently allows switching IMEIs, which is a major plus for me, as I switch phones 3-4 times a year, at least.

Hey Ricky, thanks for the comment. Very good question! I'll pass it along to SHAPE but what I can say is that they are very professional and responsive. I would imagine that they would be happy to accomodate their customers - but I don't know about 3 or 4 times a year! ;-) Details to follow.

I have a question. I have IM+ for my treo 700wx. I sit possible to receive phone calls while logged on the IM+. I know I cant answer the calls or else I get cut off, but when I get calls, it goes right to voicemal, It wont even let me have the option of seeing whos calling

Does Shape service override Verizon's Mobile IM client...it appears that Verizon will not let you use Yahoo IM...only through their getitnow application

I wish I could help with this but it has been a looooong time since I even held a Verizon device. I think perhaps the best thing to do is to contact Shape Services with this question - or maybe check out the free trial and give it a shot.
