    hello,
i would really appreciate it if you write a full review for this application! plus could you compare this application with Mobisophy's "PhonePilot" as i was not able to find any difference between those 2 products by the same author!

    Hey Chirantan,

Thanks for you comment and I'm sure that many people share your confusion. Perhaps when I have more time I can post a review as you suggest but I can tell you fairly quickly what the main difference is.

Unlike Phonepilot, IVCM supports IVR (Interactive Voice Response) functionality. This basically allows you to create complex interactive scenarios for incoming callers where they can respond to your instructions with key presses that IVCM will recognize and respond to. Here's an example:

Incoming call is answered by IVCM. Your message says: "I am unavailable right now. Please press 1 to leave me a message, or press two to be transferred to my office."

Then in IVCM you can configure this scenario so that if the caller presses 1, IVCM will play another message that you record ("Please leave a message after the beep.") and if the caller presses 2, IVCM will transfer the call to your office number that you input in the profile configuration.

    Hope that helps!

I've tried the IVR functionality but it doesn't seem to work for me. The app doesn't realize that the caller is pressing keys.

Now, that's my experience, has it worked for you? I also posted on mobisophy's web site, but haven't gotten a response yet.

I was testing using my E61, latest firmware, caller using a S40 nokia.

    Cheers,

    Rob

PS: the log captures the fact that someone calls, and is waiting for them to hit a key. So I know that my IVR scenario is correct.

Odd; I've been using this app for a long time and IVR has always worked fine for me. Granted, I haven't tried it since I upgraded to 2.00 so I'll do that in a bit (I don't typically use IVR scenarios).

Are the problematic calls coming from a mobile? You might try calling your device yourself from a landline and testing. Perhaps it's a DTMF issue...

thanx a lot for your reply, n yaa that helped to clear the confusion!
but now i have a querry (or bug) in IVCM, there is an option in Options>IVR Options , "Mute ringer before call", what i understand from that is, ICVM wont let the ringer ring and directly will handle it itself, n i really would like to set it that way, but on my N73, when i go to select that option, it shows me "set the ICVM volume", which is the next option on the page, so i cant select the "mute ringer before call" option!
is that bug specific to my phone or is it something present in IVCM?
ohh and 1 more thing, i have tried using the scheduling, i had created 2 profiles "Day" and "Night", ICVM let me set the day profile from 7am to 11pm, but when i tried setting the night profile from 11:01pm to 6:59am, it game me error saying something like "profile ending time should be after the profile start time" isnt is absurd?

No problem! And you're right, I have the same bug. I didn't even notice it before. You should definitely email Mobisophy and let them know. In terms of functionality, if you have the auto answer delay set to 0 then you phone shouldn't ring before IVCM takes the call.

In terms of your other question, it is odd that Mobisophy did this but to set a "Night" profile from 11pm to 7am you actually must create two schedule events...

    Night: 11:00pm - 11:59pm
    Night: 12:00am - 7:00am

With IVCM, you cannot create one schedule event that spans over two days.

I am looking for a software to record the call conversations without beep that is without letting the other person know that it is being recorded. Is there anything u can suggest?
  • zach · 2 years ago
    Sure thing Kanu :)

My personal favorite option is Ultimate Voice Recorder. It's the only solution I've tried that has worked very consistently for me. Remember to notify any callers anytime you're recording calls! :)

I'm using UVR too, lovely tool. Regarding recording of calls, the Danish rules are great, as long as one of the persons involved in the call is aware that it's being recorded, it's not illegal to record a call. I record all incoming and outgoing calls, primarily to be sure I remember stuff clients tell me and stuff I tell clients. ;)

lol Yeah it's a great one because most of the other apps I've tested eliminate the beep by cutting out every few seconds to coincide with the beep. That just means you get tons of empty spaces in your recordings...

can u suggest any other[free] call recorders which do eliminate the beep sound ;; thnx in advnc

Hey ajos - unfortunately there aren't any freeware call recorders available right now that record without a beep. Sorry, but thanks for your kind words!
