  i dont really get the hype behind this app.
  i mean its OKAY to play with, but my phone would never replace my remote control for when im watch a dvd or cable.

  Well this app definitely won't replace my universal remote but it definitely comes in handy. It is nice to have a backup and also something to fight with when my fiancee steals the remote.
  
  It also has a much wider range than many universal remotes with support for air conditioners etc. The real fun I've had with it is being able to switch on the Yankee game in any bar/pub that I go to. :)

  Don't buy without try! I did it, and no of my thinks here in home I can control with this remote control.
  And my electronic stuff is not "noname" products: TV from Philips, Sat Receiver from Topfield, DVD from Cyberhome. But nothing works, also not after update.

  Have you tried using the online wizard Michael? None of my devices were in the database either so I uploaded them and they work perfectly. That's how this app works - Ir codes are submitted by users and ranked as working or not working.

  Very Odd Varun - It's been working perfectly for over a month for me. I haven't tried it on my E61i though. Are you installing it to your phone memory? You should definitely shoot their support team an email - they're very responsive and helpful.

  Can someone please explain how to use the code wizard. I found the code file i need for my tv, in a pcf file. I enter the file, click next, and it just says Uploading code wizard in plain text, with a button that says HOME.

  You might try a different browser Warren, or shoot them an email because it sounds like a technical issue as opposed to anything else.

  is the distance really just that? i installed mine on my E65 and tried it to my television, but sadly, it can only control the tv within 8 inches. useless. any of you having the same problem?

  Well of course the app is limited to the quality of the hardware but I have to think that the E65 is a bit better than that! My N95 works at a range of a few feet maybe...
