    Thanks stanevski! :) Both are great apps and I use them each regularly in different situations. iSkoot is great for when I'm driving or out of WLAN range and fring is great when I'm stationary with WLAN access. Maybe some time in the future we'll see one app with both capabilities!

    So I'm confused, are Skype calls initiated and completed over a data connection?

    No problem Derek. With iSkoot, Skype calls are actually completed over GSM voice rather than data. iSkoot uses your data connection only to monitor the online status of your contacts. When you choose to call one (or when someone calls you) the call is connected over standard voice.

    Hi Zach, excellent reviews and yes I use both fring and Iskoot accordingly based on my movement.. However I cannot receive calls on iSkoot even though I have set to receive calls and inserted an incoming number. Callers get a busy signal or not available tone. Please comment

    Hey Aslam, and thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately I can't really answer your question because I admittedly ditched iSkoot a while ago. I liked it and from what I hear the new version is nice, but I do most of my mobile Skyping with the N800. When I do need Skype on my N95, I opt for fring these days.
