As Psiloc gets ready to celebrate their 10-year anniversary next week (happy anniversary Psiloc!) they have been quite busy lately updating some apps and have even managed to find the time to release some new ones. Anna at Psiloc is one of my favorite people to receive emails from because each time I see her […]SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "MiniGPS ... Continue reading »

  • Hello. There :)

Wow what a nice program! I like it very much.

And a very cool site. :)
  • Sounds a great program, I've just bought my first symbian phone and learning as I go.

    Yeah, very nice site.
  • Hi,

This MUST be usefull!!!! Gladly testing it now

    greetings,
    filip
  • Thanks guys, enjoy the app! :)
  • So do you just enter an address or do you have to be physically at the location for it to learn a location.
  • You must physically be there. Since location info isn't obtained with the cell data, MiniGPS works by associating certain cells with the location name that you enter while you "teach" it.
  • Zach,

    thanks!
  • Thanks for the app, works nicely with my 6110 navigator! I will put it in a good use :)
  • Nice Idea!!!! I would definitely use it all the time (if I got it for free ;) )
  • No problem guys, and thanks to Psiloc for their generosity :)
  • I seem to have the same comment to make in every post of yours I respond to : "that's an awesome theme you have there, where can I get it ?" :-)
  • Aside from the strain on my eyes, I love your blog and I can't tell you enough. This app is incredible and it's already on my buy list. I'm going to put your claim to the test and see exactly how the N95's anorexic battery is going to handle this app, but since it's already under 300kb for disk space alone, I have a feeling you're absolutely right.

    Thanks again. :)
  • Damn nice application.
Now I needn't always write an SMS when I arrive at a special place.
    Really good!
  • This sounds awesome... have to try it out!
  • @kriegspiel Lol thanks :) That's a commercial theme called Blue Satin.

@JonnyBruha Thanks for the kind words! Is it really a strain on your eyes?? Do you have a good monitor? I find that on my office PC the site is a lot darker than at home on my 20" LCD. I want to keep the same basic color scheme but what do you think would help you? Lighter font... darker bg... ?

@Erwin @adonis Definitely a smart app from Psiloc that is worth owning.
  • Drat! Missed the free license! I got it this morning and am loving it. I hope he extends the giveaways!
  • This seems like a must have app.
Seems that my idea I had for a long time suddenly apperars on a nice app :)

I always hate to adjust my profile everytime I get to work.. so if this app can do it, NICE !!

But first I will give it a try.
Becouse here where I live, it`s not so many towers..
So I vonder if it know where I are when I only move 1-2km away..

    let me test it :)
  • Thanks for the comment liteglow, and definitely let us know how it goes. I'm certainly interested to see how it operates in areas where there aren't many towers.
  • Nice review
  • Whoever came up with this is an absolute genius.
  • Hi again..
Okey I have now tested this neat little program :)
    And what can I say...

    I LOVE IT :)

    It`s great..
It changes my profile to "Work" mode everytime I goes to work..
It changes my profile to "Cinema\silent" mode, everytime I go to the cinema :)

    That is just perfect..

And the problem with not som many towers where I live (in Norway in a small city) dont seems to be that much problem..

The only "problem" i had so far is that when I`m at home, it change to another CELL when I send a MMS.. then it goes to anohter location....
But all in all it`s a great software..

I did not need more than 2 days to know that I was buying it :)

Thanx for the tip, and thanx to this site :)
  • I did just find out one nice thing to use this for..
If you wonder where you GF is all day ;)
Just install this on her phone, and MARK all boy friends houses with an SMS warning :p
Then you got a SMS everythime she is somewhere not supposed to be.. haha..

i think this is a scary app. ;) but nice..
  • Great liteglow, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Regarding your last comment, the latest version (1.10) allows you to manually add a cell to a defined location. That might help with your problem.

And thanks for your kind words :)

EDIT: LOL @ your second comment! :)
