Congrats Adonis!! :)

Yeah after seeing the N810, I'm glad that I purchased the N800. MUCH cheaper and the N810 doesn't really add anything I'd want - I think. The OS will be available of the N800 so nothin gnew there. The keyboard is a very good addition but from the pics it looks like it would be awkward to use. Looking forward to Jonathan Greene's comments on that.

Well enjoy buddy!

Re: N800 is Going Home…

Well after playing with it when you brought it over and seeing how sleek it is, I'm convinced and have ordered one, via Texas of course!

But as you said, I want one, don't think I necessarily need one.

Re: N800 is Going Home…

hi i live n800

Re: N800 is Going Home…

Thanks for your comment MrHollywood. It appears that your sentiments are pretty consistent with the majority of N800 owners. They like that they have it, they're relatively happy with its performance, but they're not overly enthusiastic about it.

Believe it or not, there are many ways to market a device like this that Nokia doesn't seem to be attempting but I'll leave it at that.

I think the bottom line is that this is a device that really grabs your attention in the beginning but just doesn't have what it takes to hold it...

Re: N800 is Going Home…

I picked up the N800 a week ago just prior to the NSeries Unlocked party here in Los Angeles. I have to admit I am quite the gadget person but I still have not decided if I like the N800 yet or not. I like the fact that I can acess the net anywhere just by having my N95 fired up and linked but I am finding the browser while fast I am not sold on that I am unable to completely navigate through a web page easily as I can from the small screen of the N95. I carry around a lot of video both for my own viewing pleasure as well to show to prospective clients (I license content). I have yet to have a reason for making a skype call and I have no need for video conferencing. I do wish it was easy to simply open up the video cam and shoot video of my kids the way I shoot video from my N95. At the end of the day while the N800 is a nice device I don't think I will be carrying it around come a year from now but will be in my gadget drawer containing my CASIO, Newton, and my IPAQ.

Re: N800 is Going Home…

A new phone?!? Good god man - wait for the N95 8GB and the N81 to be released! We're not far off now... :)

As for the size of the N800, have a play with it. It actually fits very comfortably in the back pocket of my jeans and when you see the screen you'll know that the size is TOTALLY worth it! I should also mention that it's probably one of the most solid-feeling portable devices I've ever held.

Re: N800 is Going Home…

Not sure about this myself "just" because of the size of the device, but I haven't had it in my hands yet. The features alone are very tempting.
Did I mention I'm looking for a new phone?
