Well I'm reading comments from a lot of people who say that there is a long delay with google reader but I've also spoken to several people who say that it's perfectly common to have their burnt feed take a few hours before it shows up. It looks like that's the best I can hope for unless I come across a solution beyond pinging.

Google Reader it is. I wonder if the problem is between Feedburner and Google Reader.

Ugh. I've done tons of reading and see no solutions yet. Most suggestions involve pinging and I already do that.

Do you use google reader? That's where I'm getting the delays. More research then... :)

Thanks for the comment kriegspiel, I've been noticing the same thing. I'm new to feedburner but I'm going to play with it now and see if there's something I can do to optimize it...

The new feed seems to be slower at updating than the old feed. For instance, as I added the new feed in Google Reader, the old feed already had the latest article update (Google acquires Jaiku), while the new one was stuck at 'Tips and tricks ...'. Feedburner issue ?
