I don't see the advantage for the money you have to pay for it. I mean: You will have to leave (my N95 NEVER leaves my side!) your S60 device, so you essentially need another S60 device(or somethign that can recieve MMS), which are expensive. Second: You can't SEE the thiefs: If it could record movies and send it to you... that would be cool and handy (catching thiefs and recognizing them!) Leaving it with your baby would be down-right irresponsible. there are baby-phones for this type of monitoring...
If I valet park my car while out to dinner with my fiancee one night, I would definitely lock my phone in the glove box with a low 'activation level' set in SkyeSpy. I've had many things stolen from my car while parked by valets or in a garage. To have the ability to record conversations automatically and have them sent by MMS to my fiancee's phone would be fantastic!
Just a few months ago my speedpass (a small keychain that you can use to pay for gasonline) was stolen while my car was parked in a garage and I didn't even realize it until I got a call from the supplier asking why I was uncharacteristically spending hundreds of dollars each day on gas. If I had SkyeSpy at the time, I could have caught the attendant in the act and reported him to management.
It should be noted that SkyeSpy does not ONLY work with MMS.
Users can opt to have communications by:
- SMS
- MMS
- MMS with audio clip
- Incoming call to mobile or landline!
The example in the campaign is only ONE of the many ways SkyeSpy can communicate with the user. In fact that the user does not even need to necessarily have another mobile as a call can be placed to a landline.
Furthermore, SkyeSpy also has a feature that allows the user to discretely CALL the SkyeSpy device. The device will not 'ring' as such (thus will answer the call silently) The user can then listen in to all surrounding audio at will.
I was looking forward to playing with this app from the get go but the additional details make it sound even more enticing! :)
