    I have used SpotOn and it's definitely a great little app. I used to use it a lot on my N80 and like that fact that it also lights up your flash.

    What I like about this app as opposed to SpotOn is that it'll allow your backlight to dim -> off on standby so you don't have to worry about disabling it - you can just leave it running for long periods of time.

    What would be awesome is if it was built like Hourpower or Reboot - so that just selecting the icon would enable the functionality but not open any app screen (maybe just "SmartLight Engaged" and "SmartLight Exiting" pop-ups). Then you could assign it to a hotkey or shortcut and using it would cause no interruption at all!

    I tried SmartLight on my N76 and it doesn't keep the backlight on when I am playing music.

    on the music player screen. The original firmware would allow you to keep the backlight on for 30 minutes. But the newest firmware now only goes up to 90 seconds. That's why I hoped smartlight would work.

    Hmm very odd - it seems to be working fine on my music player screen. Does it work for you on other screens?

    Can someone with an N95 give it a try? It could be a problem with FP1.

    Great little app. Works fine on N73 except that, like John, will not stay on with music player.
