Symbian in Motion: Tips & Tricks: Hiding Unwanted Gallery Images

  • DEEPSAND · 2 years ago
    Hi, great Blog!
1 question about Y-browser - What version are you using as my version 0.80 does not have the save option after i go into file attributes.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks DEEPSAND! :)

In the pics above, I believe I was using an 0.7x but 0.80 should work fine as well. The verbiage may have changed a bit in the UI but you should be able to back out of the attributes screen with saved adjustments.

I just formatted my phone but I'll reinstall Y-Browser (0.80) in a bit and post my findings. :)

I know this is easy enough todo, but would be great if someone could make a small PicHider app to easily allow hiding of multiple images etc, could also include preset sets of images to hide, such as TomTom graphics etc.

That would be cool! A lot of apps such as those by Vito don't use MBM graphics so they cause this problem. You might want to check out the <a target="_blank" title="S60 Applications Wishlist" href="http://www.s60.com/life/application/wishlist/displayWishList.do" rel="nofollow">s60.com Applications Wishlist and leave a wish there. Seems like it would be simple enough to create since all it has to do is locate the files and change the attributes. Would be cool if it could integrate with the gallery! :)

Btw, are you using the latest version of TomTom? The images no longer appear in the gallery.

    Thanks, lovely info.
I think the main use case is hiding pictures that you shouldn't have been taking in the first place from significant others:-)

I've installed ver 0.80 and I also does not have the save option after i go into file attributes. Does this happen to you, zach?

Yep I've got the same problem with y-browser version 0.80. There's no save option and it also doesn't auto safe when you back out :(
