  • Hey princess1, I see on mobile9 that you're having a lot of trouble. Why don't you send me an email and we'll see if we can't get it sorted:

  • Hi I hope this reaches you.Yes I do seem to be having problems.I have followed all the instructions and have succesfully downloaded the certificate but when I double click on autu sign after editing it nothing happens. Now I started a new account with symbiansigned and hey prest one file changed to signed when I tried it again it wont do it so I reckon you can only do one. What do you think?
  • Well, unfortunately if you've read through the whole thread and tried everything there very carefully then there's not much else I can suggest. I won't make a habit of this, but if you email me at the address is my comment above with your IMEI and the sis you're trying to install, I'll sign it for you.
  • Hi I have sent you an email. Please let me know uf you get it.Thanks
  • I didn't get it but I just sent an email to the address you entered when you posted your comments. Hope you get it!
  • I've try everything that I could think of and could find to read and I can not sign my FExplorer anyway. I edit the bat file, I try all the possible variants and steel it does not create the signed sis file!

    Please help if you can.
  • Hello! Good Site! Thanks you!
  • When i go to the symbian signed site and try to 'request' i get this message: "Your request has failed. Reason:
Your are not enabled to request DevCerts. Please contact the system administrator." Any ideas?

    Thanks
  • I've never seen that error but I do know that the Symbian Signed site is having a lot of problems right now. Make sure you enter the challenge code properly and if it still doesn't work, you might want to wait a few days and try again.
  • hey i have been facing the same problem as paulk and its been around for a while.
When i go to the symbian signed site and try to ‘request’ i get this message: “Your request has failed. Reason:
Your are not enabled to request DevCerts. Please contact the system administrator
Anyone who knows about any solution to this problem could post it here will be greatful
  • Same deal. Symbian Signed is having problems (and pissing off a lot of developers!) so my guess is you'll need to wait a few days for everything to get sorted.
  • Thanks zach but do keep us posted if you get to know anything.
  • I surely will :)
  • "Developer Certificates are provided for testing purposes only and not for distribution purposes. This is clearly stated in the terms and conditions signed up to by all users. If you require Developer Certificates for testing an application you are developing please send an email with the following information to symbiansigned@symbian.com
    Subject: Developer Certificate enable request:
    User name
    First Name Last Name
    Application Name
    Application Version
    Company Name
    Company Address "

I'm guessing that has something to do with it....
  • Yes you're right paulk. I posted my feelings on this yesterday on the blog when I found about it. Short version - complete BS...
  • No body is rite here just close the forum i guess its of no use
  • Any idea if there is an alternate solution to create a developer certificate? I badly need this to demo to a client. Moving my application to a Series 60 FP2 handset will require adapting my entire screen layout to the small screen size.

    Look forward to your advices!
  • Are you a developer Sandy? If so, Symbian Signed will still issue developer certificates to you as long as you provide the information requested on the site. It's the consumers that are hurt most by these changes - developers only suffer delays in obtaining dev certs.
  • This means that there are several unsigned apps (AspyPlayer, RotateMe) that simply cannot be installed any more. I'm not a developer, I just want to install this software. This is pretty f*cking ridiculous - it's my frickin phone after all...
  • I have experience the same prob as pricess1, when i tried to click on DevCertRequest, trying to install it, nothing happens. Any idea on how to solve this?
