  • Peter_zzb · 2 years ago
    can not keep all the way??by the way ,does n73 work like your ieN80??
  • zach · 2 years ago
    It should work fine on the N73 and no, this method is not a perminent solution. As soon as you restart your phone it will be back in portrait display mode.

    Just use RotateMe
  • zach · 2 years ago
    Yes, I tried Rotate Me out just yesterday and it's a great idea but needs some work. Note that it wasn't available at the time of this post.

    For one thing, I'd rather not link it until it's signed because the "how do I sign it" question has been covered so many times it would be a waste to cover it here.

    Also, the author is currently working on version 1.2 which will work with more models than the current version.

    Lastly, in landscape mode the app uses almost 3MB of RAM! Hopefully this will be addressed in the upcoming release.

  • zach · 2 years ago
    My advice would be to check out the following link:

    ImageExpo Info

    This page contains the user guide and some other info. Also in the very bottom left corner you will find a link to contact the developer.

    Dosn't work on my n73.
    The "Orientation" is not active.
  • zach · 2 years ago
    This is an old post. Since it was made, an app called "rotateMe" has been developed that allows you to switch your screen orientation right on your mobile. Search google for the app and then follow my guide to sign it before installing.
  • Wx · 2 years ago
    hey i found out that the Image Expo does not really work on the 3250 even though the 3250 is a S60 3rd edition device. I can't change the screen orientation. Is it because screen rotation is not supported for the trial version( i'm using version 3.5 of ImageExpo) or because the resolution rotation for 176x208 to 208x176 is not allowed? Really frustrated because i signed the RotateMe app and was not able to install it into my fone.
  • Wx · 2 years ago
    May be u can send your download version of ImageExpo to us as the current one available for download does not allow screen rotation. Thx
  • zach · 2 years ago
    Soory, but it looks like SysOpen Digia doesn't want people using the trial version for this purpose. As such it wouldn't be right to post the installer for an older version.

    Search google for "rotateMe" and you'll find a great freeware app that you can use to rotate your screen right on your device!

    Regarding the tip on Landscape Orientation, ImageExpo has upgraded their version to 3.5.. and it does not work in my Nokia E50.. Any help around?? I want to change the screen to landscape mode..
  • zach · 2 years ago
    I'm afraid not Nagarajan, unless you purchase the app. I know that a new version of Rotate Me (1.21) was released today but it does not support the E50... :(

    orientation is not active while using n73. help
  • zach · 2 years ago
    Please read through the other comments - this opion is no longer available. Rotate Me works fine on the N73 so you may want to have a look at that. :)

    how to sign the rotateme app. please help
  • zach · 2 years ago
    @praveen

    Please stop posting your email address and IMEI number here.

    If you look at the post that I link to above about the updated version of Rotate Me, you will find a guide that will show you how to sign the app yourself. Please visit the guide and follow the instructions:

    i bought new n73 please tell me where do i get free apps
  • zach · 2 years ago
    @Praveen

    Are you sure that you signed it with the proper IMEI? And when you were generating the cert request are you sure you added ALL capabilities to the column on the right (step 7). Try to generate a new cert request and see how it goes.

    @mahendra

    There's some freeware on Handango and listed in the various Application Reviews here on my blog.

    when i browse in my n73 in web app, my phone shows "st.sis" which is downloaded automatically. what is this? what's the solution? and why does this automatically download?
  • zach · 2 years ago
    I'm not sure what you mean praveen. You mean when you try to go to the Symbian Signed site? At any rate, if you haven't been able to create a dev cert yet I'm afraid that you might not be able to. See my recent post about Symbian Signed... :(
  • praveen · 2 years ago
    im not talking about signing the files, i already signed the rotateMe app and enjoying it.

    apart from this i encountered that something when i browse using the web software which is inbuilt in n73, my phone shows "st.sis" downloaded. it is downloaded automatically.

    ex: i was browsing yahoo.com site, "st.sis" is downloaded automatically. i asked you what is this? is this virus?
  • praveen · 2 years ago
    @zach

    i have two problems..
    1) whenever i browse 'st.sis' is automatically downloaded.
    2) sometimes when i send service commands, phone will show 'request not completed' and sometimes phone will restart.
    please give me the solutions for these problems
  • zach · 2 years ago
    @praveen

    Thank you for your comments but this is not a good place to post these matters. This post is about rotating the orientation of your device's display.

    You should head over to series60.howardforums.com and search/post there.

    @zach

    ok,
    i'll check it out there. thankyou.
