haha. I can see how it is easier to digest an additional $150 compared to the thought of having spent close to $1000 on a cell phone. Thanks!

Ahhh I see you're much more logical than me lol. I would see it as: Old N95 sells for $550-$600, new one bought for $700 = New phone for $100-$150!

That's a good point about getting the phone on ebay now. The question is, can I live without my n95 for even 2 weeks? Also, when I said $1000 I meant, $815(for original phone including tax) less $600(sold on ebay), plus another $700(for new model). Almost $1000 in total on the n95 series. I consider myself a gadget nut, but $1000 on a phone is crazy. I do love the phone though...

Well I don't want to make any promises because I do have a lot on my plate right now but I'm hoping to get it done before I leave for the Nokia event next Thurday.

To comment on a few things that you mentioned, I would expect a price point well under $1,000. With the iPhone price having just dropped Nokia would be stupid to come out that high. My guess is that it'll be closer to $699 max. Also, keep in mind that eBay is going to be FLOODED with old N95s once the new one is released. If you have a back up phone you should try to sell it ASAP to get as much as possible for it.

That said, if you love the N95, use AT&T;, and have the $$ to spare you will most definitely want to purchase the new variant. In my playing so far it does nothing but improve on the old model (aside from cosmetic issues which may be unique to the prototype). More RAM, more internal storage, US HSDPA, more responsive media buttons, and better battery. :)

I enjoy reading your reviews of both software and hardware. I know you make mention of putting out an indepth review of the new n95. Any clue as to when you might get that posted? I look forward to reading it as I am contemplating getting the new n95, but wondering if it is worth it to have spent close to $1000 on my n95 phones assuming I can ebay my current one for ~$600. yikes.

The camera interface is still devastatingly slow - I suppose for the time being that's the price to be paid for a Nokia with a 5mpxl camera...

Is the camera noticeably faster? I'm wondering if Nokia fixed that as well as they seemed to address a lot of the other problems.

If anything it would be AT&T; but I would HIGHLY doubt that we'll see a carrier picking it up. It'll be available unlocked from a variety of online retailers along with the Nokia Flagship stores and eventually the other big retailers that Nokia has made recent distribution deals with.
